Tim Wilson

Tim’s music interest started in elementary school when he started playing sax in the 5th grade and later switched over to drums in high school.  With 8 years of school band, music theory classes and music appreciation classes to his credit, he started his music career.

After playing drums in the musicals ‘Godspell’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ he formed his first road band – ‘Headwinds’ playing the club circuit and opening shows for national acts Robin Thompson, Artimis Pyle Band, David Allen Coe, and Johnny Paycheck.

Tim then joined forces with ‘First Offense’ moving up to the big club circuit, along with signing on with Cellar Door productions and opening for national acts, Ratt, Eddie Money, Molly Hatchet, Black Oak Arkansas, Kix, WrathChild America, Humble Pie, and the Allman Brothers.

Along with a couple other members of ‘First Offense’, Time joined ‘X-High’ and then ‘Bottom Line’ opening shows for national acts, Nantucket, Red Seven and the Poison Dollies.

After coming off the road, Tim formed ‘Passion’ and spent time in the studio recording and promoting their CD and single ‘Kerri’ also opening shows for Nantucket and Detente UK.

Tim would go on to start his own company ‘Straight Shot Productions’ doing booking, management, and sound engineering.  He also opened his own club ‘The Entertainment Factory’ in which he crossed paths with Tony Hill, the nephew of Dusty Hill of ZZ Top and recorded with Tony in his band EZ  Prey and opened shows for Foghat and The Dixie Allstars.

Then having the pleasure to put together the band for Shenanarts production of ‘Pink Floyds’, ‘The Wall’, which ran for two years.

Next up was ‘The Midnight Cowboys’ his first country venture which lead to ‘Southern Company’ (Soco) and opening shows for David Allen Coe, Little Texat, and the Kentucky Headhunters.

Now providing the driving beat for ‘Rewind’ he adds his have a good time attitude along with helping with band bookings and public relations.

Tim’s influences are John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge, and Neil Peart.  Tim uses Drum Workshop drums, Paiste cymbals, Pro Mark sticks and Evams drumheads.
